When creating a website it is important to know the method and approach you want to follow in order to create a user-friendly experience for your visitors to have them return to your website. If you want your website to be sustainable and successful then it is a good idea to use the white hat SEO principles.

The term white hat SEO means the actual use of the optimization strategy, technology and tactics that puts the focus on people instead of search engines and keeping within the bounds of what is proper. Webopedia made a great point that white hat SEO is more frequently used by those who intend to make a long-term investment on their website with user-friendly content in keywords and keyword analysis, link building, backlinking (links from other pages that link back to your website), enhanced link building to end up higher in the search engine result lists and writing content for your visitors.

Why is it important to work by white hat SEO principles?
If you do not choose to follow these principles you could be banned from Google and other search engines. Being banned from appearing on Google, the world’s largest search engine, would mean a negative impact on your website as internet users will not see your site in the search results. Worst case scenario could result in being permanently banned because you violated their guidelines and rules.

To avoid being banned, there are some guidelines that Google put in order to get seen on their search engine, here are some of their basic guidelines:

  • Create web pages primarily for users and not search engines.
  • Avoid automatically generated content.
  • Avoid creating pages with little or no original content.
  • Avoid sneaky redirects.
  • Do not send automated queries to Google.

To work by the white hat principles means that you and your company are in it for the long run, and want to have returning visitors and be favorable by search engines by focusing on creating user-friendly SEO content.
